10 Tips to Fight COVID-19 With Ayurveda

In the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak, whole humankind over the globe is languishing. Recommended Measures


1.Drink warm water for the duration of the day.

3.Spices like Haldi (Turmeric), Jeera (Cumin), Dhaniya (Coriander) and Lahsun (Garlic) are suggested in cooking.

4.Take Chyavanprash 10gm (1tsf) in the first part of the day. Diabetics should take sugar free Chyavanprash.

5.Drink home grown tea/decoction (Kadha) produced using Tulsi (Basil), Dalchini (Cinnamon), Kalimirch (Black pepper), Shunthi (Dry Ginger) and Munakka (Raisin) - on more than one occasion per day. Include jaggery (regular sugar) and/or new lemon juice to your taste, if needed.

6.Golden Milk-Half tea spoon Haldi (turmeric) powder in 150 ml sweltering milk - a few times a day.

7.Nasal application - Apply sesame oil/coconut oil or Ghee in both the nostrils (Pratimarsh Nasya) in morning and evening.

8.Oil pulling treatment Take 1 table spoon sesame or coconut oil in mouth. Don't drink,Swish in the mouth for 2 to 3 minutes and spit it off followed by warm water flush. This should be possible a few times a day.IVDuring dry hack/sore throat

9.Steam inward breath with new Pudina (Mint) leaves or Ajwain (Caraway seeds) can be rehearsed once in a day.

10.Lavang (Clove) powder blended in with common sugar/nectar can be taken 2-3 times each day if there should arise an occurrence of hack or throat irritation.
